HISTORY Glenn was born the fourth child and third son of Dentoria's House Rowan. As a child, he was charged by his father with the task of becoming as proficient militarily as possible; a neccessity thanks to Rowan's unfortunate position as the bandit capital of Dentoria. Glenn hardly minded the challenge; he found quite early on that he would much rather be training than studying, though he was forced through plenty of that, as well. He chose the lance to specialize in, his father's preferred weapon, though he tried his hand at the sword and axe, for a time, as well. As was expected of all men of Rowan, for when the time came, it was important to wield whatever weapon granted the best advantage for the situation -- bandits are a varied sort, after all.
Growing up, Glenn grew quite close to elder brother Byron, a charismatic man that none doubted would one day lead Rowan to glory. He accompanied the man on patrols in order to prepare himself for leading his own, idolizing every aspect of him; his impeccable skill in battle, the ease with which he commanded his troops, his rational yet unrelenting frame of mind. The two became near inseperable, or as inseperable as brothers can be when one is the highly esteemed heir to the House and the other is a firey, stubborn third son.
It was, then, rather predictably, a devastating blow to Glenn to learn of Byron's death, apparently the result of a particularly messy scuffle along the Nallen border. Then in his seventeenth year, there was little Glenn could do to protest the eventual resolution -- that it had been bandits, and nothing more -- and it hardly helped matters that Kiefer, his other elder brother who hardly acted as though he were from Rowan at all, was now heir, and determined to have that conclusion stand. Glenn rallied his other siblings behind him as best he could, calling out Nallen -- Lord Thomas in particular -- for Byron's murder, but despite the fact that nearly everyone agreed with him, there was little they could do, once Lady Eliza ruled in favor of Nallen (and how predictable, that the High House of the East should rule in favor of the East.)
Glenn never forgave Kiefer for what he saw as cowardice, and continued fanning the flames of hatred against Nallen despite his brother's constant rebukes and warnings. He was forbidden from taking over Byron's patrols to the East, out of fear for what he might do once there, and sent along Kiefer's old routes toward Allba, instead -- yet another thing he's never forgiven his older brother for, and insists he never will. Embittered and furious, Glenn sees fit while home to poke at every insecurity he can see: Kiefer is not as talented as Byron, as charismatic, as well read or well respected. His inaction toward the East has lost him the respect of many of his people, and earned him nothing but disdain from his House. And on, and on.
It's no wonder, then, given his constant antagonism, that he is sent to patrol along the Rowan-Allba borders more often than is likely strictly necessary, these days. He contents himself with the knowledge that his Father and most of the rest of his siblings are on his side, some more openly than others. Though he misses the days of being the third son, free from real responsibility outside of his patrols, for the good of the House, he continues to fan the flames of the Rowan-Nallen feud wherever he can, and harbors a secret hope that perhaps one day his Father will realize how much better suited he is for the role of Lord of Rowan than his cowardly older brother ... rules of inheritance be damned.

PERSONALITY Glenn, at times, is an angry, bitter, and impossibly stubborn man, driven by ugly ambitions he has little chance of succeeding with. He wants his brother back, above all else, but seeing as how that is impossible, he figures he can mostly content himself with acquiring Lord Thomas's head on a stake and seeing Kiefer disinherited -- goals that are only slightly less impossible, but not entirely, he'll stubbornly insist, and that is all that matters.
At other times, the time he spent with Byron becomes apparent -- some of that same charm shines through, and he can be near the same man he was before Byron's death... a spirited man with quick wits and good taste in wine and women both, always among the first invited to parties, and not strictly due to his station. Unfortunately, the lighter, brighter side of Glenn has become increasingly less apparent in the years since Byron's death.
He attempts to mediate himself somewhat in his Father's presence, even in his worst moods, but even then, his bull-headedness is painfully apparent. He resents and is constantly frustrated by his lack of influence or power, and every day his brother goes unrevenged drives him nearer and nearer to desperate ends.

APPEARANCE Glenn is an admittedly handsome man, graced with fine blonde hair and striking blue eyes. He is fairly tall, measuring 6'2", and has a thin stature that belies his strength. He wears clothing fit for a nobleman often away from his House, travel-worthy material of high quality and unremarkable color.
